Accountability
Village
I am deeply grateful for my diverse community—my village—which includes members from the global majority, the global minority, gender-expansive individuals, women, men and the LGBTQ2IA+ community. This village serves as a vital source of accountability, continuously challenging me on my ongoing journey in anti racism and anti-patriarchal practices. Beyond my community, I hold a personal commitment to self-accountability. This means promptly recognizing when my actions result in identity-based harm and immediately striving for repair. In situations where full repair is not possible, I dedicate myself, both independently and with my village, to deep reflection and learning, ensuring I continually improve and do better in the future.
Education and Development
I am committed to the ongoing work of rejecting white supremacy by actively participating in affinity groups, conferences, and workshops focused on this goal. My self-education, through books, films, documentaries, and podcasts, is essential for increasing self-awareness, understanding the systemic environments I operate within, and consciously unlearning the biases instilled by my childhood social conditioning. My ongoing development remains focused on human-centered thinking, feeling, behaviors, and relationships. I recognize that this is a lifelong process of learning and growth, and I will continuously strive to improve.
Family and Friends
I am dedicated to actively countering and challenging the pervasive, divisive, and harmful societal conditioning in conversations with my friends and in my home with my family. In my community, we prioritize engaging in difficult dialogues. I regularly discuss my professional work, personal convictions, aspirations, and vision for a world rooted in equity—a world that honestly acknowledges and addresses past and present harm, commits to repair, and strives to meet each individual's unique needs.

Personal Commitment
Therefore, I am personally committed to the following actions:
Support Diverse Businesses
I commit to intentionally directing my spending and referral power toward enterprises owned and operated by individuals from the global majority, women, gender-expansive people, and members of the LGBTQ2IA+ community.
Equitable Compensation
When hiring contractors, I am committed to fairly compensating people of the global majority, women, gender-expansive individuals, and LGBTQ2IA+ individuals, recognizing the value of their cultural expertise and the emotional labor this work demands of them.
Wealth Redistribution
I acknowledge that I have benefited greatly both professionally and financially from the many privileged identities that I hold. I believe in the equitable redistribution of wealth and am grateful to be able to donate a portion of my earnings to non profits in service of and operated by people of the global majority, women, gender-expansive individuals, and LGBTQ2IA+ individuals.
